What instrument you choose, whether its Mandala or a Mural, would depend on your comfort level with the art form.
This is a very custom art where one size doesn’t fit all. At the Geode Wall Art workshop, you will not only be able to create but also understand the mindset which goes into creating one of these super masterpieces. This is something which you can relish for years to come since this will be a child of your own imagination. Purely inspirational and therapeutic, this creates endless joy.
To begin with, you would need
- Canvas or Plywood Board
- Whiting Powder
- Mandala Instruments
- Acrylic Colors Brushes
- A set of wooden coasters,
- Pouring cups
- Butane Torch
- Disposable Gloves
- Plastic Sheets
- Paper Tape
- Ice Cream Sticks
- Kitchen Weighing Scale
- Lining Pens
- Resin Pigments
Also, one most important aspect is that the area where you do your Geode Wall art is well ventilated. Keep the area clean, open, and airy. If you are allergic to Resin or not, just using an air mask is always a good practice.
Start with drawing your designs on the canvas or Board depending upon your preference of Mural or Mandala. Mix well the whiting powder and the POP in the perfect ratio of 3:1 or the ideal combination with fevicol. Try to get a consistency like a dough. You want to make sure that it is neither too thin or thick so that you can give it the desired shape.
Now is an excellent time to start paying attention to the finer details of your design to make sure you have those piercing eye gazes or the floral petals in the perfect natural arrangement.
The drying process could take a little while; however, you should start working on the real Geode Wall art.
Choose a design that would match your Mural or Mandala and let the creative juices flow. Visualize the perfect color combinations you would like to see. Play around with a couple of your choices and blend in with the most compatible theme.
Wear your Gloves and Mix the Resin and Hardener as per Manufacturer’s instructions and mix it thoroughly till it completely blends in. Arrange the crystal stones in the symmetrical fashion and glue them.
Pigments and glitter can be mixed in the Resin and poured.
Please leave it to cure, and you have your masterpiece ready. This is one of the DIY geode wall art projects which can be undertaken after some training.
